Create / Change & Schedule Events

What do events look like?

On the left, you'll see the sub-menu for events. Up to 6 active events can be shown at a time.

Once a selection is made, an example of what the event looks like is on the right.

How do I create a new event?

Go to the Media page, by using the navigational drop down in the content management portal.

Hover over "New" then click on "Message".

Select "Event Details.scb" then click "Next".

Give your new event a unique name then click "Next".

Fill in the the fields to affect how your event looks and behaves:

Event Name: Text typed into here is shown near the bottom.
Event Type: This affects the background and graphics to reflect the type of event it is.
Event Location: If a wayfinding button is desired at the bottom of your event, pick a location.
Event Logo: If a logo is supplied, then it will be shown and the Event Text will be moved down.
Event Text: You can type up to 10 lines of text for your event.
More Event Text: This provides another 10 lines.
Event Poster: If you prefer to use a custom-made graphic to show your event instead of providing text and / or logo, then you can do so here.

Note: The preview image on the right will give you some idea of what your event looks like but it's not wholly accurate.

Now that I created an event, How do I add / remove events from the schedule?

Go to the Playlists page, by using the navigational drop down in the content management portal.

Click on "Events Playlist"

Add Media: This will start the steps for add an existing event to the schedule.
Checkbox: Select the events you want to remove or edit the schedule for.
Remove: This removes the selected events from the schedule.
Properties: This will allow you to edit the schedules of selected events. See next step for more info.
Save / Reset: This will save or reset unsaved changes thus far.

While in Properties, select the "Scheduling" tab:

You can specify an inclusive start date to play your event.
You can specify an inclusive end date to play your event.
You can further specify a "time in the week" schedule to play your event.

Note: If the current time falls within the start and end dates and at least one time schedule, then your event will be shown on the kiosk. Up to 6 events can be shown at a time.

How do I change an existing event?

In the Media page:

Search for the name of the event.
Click on the name of the event to access the fields.
