Why would I upload an image?

There will be instances in which you want to use an image or photo as part of the content in the kiosk.

Below, you'll find a list with their accompanying image dimensions:

Event Poster: Up to 879 x 1291 pixels.
Maps: Up to 1080 x 1400 pixels.
Dining Menus: Up to 880 x 1368 pixels.
Rotating Promotions: Exactly 1080 x 1920 pixels.

How do I upload an image?

Go to the Media page, by using the navigational drop down in the content management portal.

While in the Media page, drag and drop the files you want to the area with the list of media.

Any other rules I have to follow?

For image file formats or types, we prefer PNG but JPEG can also be used.
If you are using JPEG, make sure it is in RGB mode and not CMYK mode.
Please give your image a unique file name. If it has the same name as another file, it would overwrite it.
Don't worry about file sizes as long as it's reasonable (usually under 10 MB).

How do I know my upload was successful?

If a thumbnail is showing with your image, then your upload is successful. If you get an odd looking thumbnail or it does not show, then something went wrong. Look at the rules above to see if you missed something.

Can I delete a media item?

Media items can either be images we have uploaded or messages that have been created from available templates.

There is only one rule when it comes to deleting an item: Do not delete any item in use.

How do I know a media item is in use?

If it show as being Used in under the "Last Modified" column.

and it will also give you a warning when you try to delete it.

There are a few messages that are critical and should not be deleted, these are:

Dining Menu
Rotating Promotions
Activities
